What categories of rubber mats does IRS stock?
The range covers seven categories: anti-fatigue mats, car & truck mats, checker & diamond mats, coin mats, ribbed mats, rubber ute mats, and tube tread mats. There are a variety of products across the range, spanning general-purpose floor matting sold by the metre, vehicle-specific mats, and ergonomic anti-fatigue mats for industrial and commercial settings.
What are anti-fatigue mats and how do they work?
Anti-fatigue mats are designed to reduce physical strain on workers who stand for extended periods on hard surfaces. They have a specific cushioned profile (often featuring a bubbled or cellular structure) that encourages subtle, involuntary contractions of the calf and leg muscles. This promotes blood flow and reduces the strain on joints and the lower back caused by standing on hard concrete floors for extended periods.
What ute tray mat options are available?
IRS stocks both vehicle-specific ute mats and a universal solid top ute mat. The vehicle-specific mats are cut to fit Ford, Holden, Mazda, and Mitsubishi utes. The universal solid top ute mat suits a range of tray configurations. All ute mats are designed to protect the tray floor from abrasion, scratches, and impact damage.
What is the difference between checker, diamond, and coin mats?
All three are patterned rubber sheets sold by the metre, suited to flooring, ramps, trailers, and workshop surfaces. Checker mats have a square grid pattern, diamond mats have a raised diamond pattern, and coin mats have a raised dot pattern. The main differences are aesthetic and in surface texture; diamond and coin patterns tend to offer slightly more grip underfoot.
Are there rubber mats specifically for cars and trucks?
Yes. The car & truck floor mat range includes a front pair and a rear pair in black rubber (both are universal fit) designed to protect vehicle floors from mud, water, and wear. These are a no-frills, durable option suited to work vehicles, vans, and trucks where floor protection is more important than a tailored fit.
Can rubber mats be easily cut to size?
Yes. Most of our rubber matting rolls can be cut using a heavy-duty utility knife and a straight edge. For thicker mats, we suggest lubricating the blade with a little soapy water to reduce friction and ensure a cleaner, smoother cut through the material.
Can I order these mats online and are they available in-store?
All rubber mats are available to purchase online at indrub.com.au with nationwide delivery across Australia. In-store pick-up is also available.
